dry-lipsLiving in the Northwest, though it is beautiful, there are some down falls to it. When it comes to the drastic change of weather it really takes a toll on our skin. Our hands get so dry that we are constantly putting lotion on them every five minutes. No matter how much we put on, it seems like we can never get enough lotion.

Another ailment that we seem to endure is chapped lips. Just like our hands our lips can get really dry. Every season I search high and low for the perfect lip balm for my lips. I go through a lot of lip balm every year.

I recently attended our annual soap meeting.  What a blast!  I learned how to make several new items that I hope to add to my list of products soon.  I also got to see some old faces and meet a few new soapers.  It’s always a great time.  We laugh, learn, and eat some wonderful food.

So keep a look out for some new things to come. 🙂

This is a great recipe for you to do with your kids.

Crack two eggs into a quart-size freezer bag and shake to combine. Add other ingredients such as cheese, ham, tomato, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Shake again and remove air from bag. Zip closed and place in pot of boiling water for 14 minutes. You can cook several bags in the same pot if using a larger pot. Omelet can be rolled out of bag onto plate easily or eaten straight from the bag.

We love to do this while camping. Hope you enjoy it too.

Throwing purse parties, Avon parties, and even jean parties are just a few of the ways people can earn a little extra money. Scrapbooking parties are a good way as well. There are a lot of options out there.

Another party to look into is, throwing a homemade gift baskets party. This is a great way to try something new and inventive. Gift baskets are fun to make and they are pretty simple to do. It allows people to have a creative control and make something unique. The cost can be pretty inexpensive therefore you can put a decent price on your party to make it more cost effective as well as let you make a little money on the side.
